I knew there was something significantly life changing about this date. But all day i just could not figure it out. Last year if you told me i would almost forget about this i would have told you that you are off your rocker.
Its amazing how times change and how we all adapt and live.
My Bravest
One Year Ago.

Think about us today.
Thank you.
We almost missed it.

Happy anniversary Emma. You're so strong and beautiful.
Love you Emma!
Great photo's ... I can't believe how big the girls are getting :) Emma is looking more and more like her Mommy - and awesome job on the a1c!!! Oh to be in the 6's ....
Anna is just plain ol' adorable - I love her cheeks :D
This post ... well, made me think of Dani's D-anniversary. We completely forgot it this year. In fact, I had to sit back, a month and a half later and think "Holy - was it on the 14th or the 15th of July??". Yeah, life goes on. I guess we're taking up to not signifying the day in any manner around here - she just doesn't get it yet. Maybe some day.
Good job people - you're all doing fabulous work (with the D and having gorgeous kiddo's!). When are you guys heading out this way??
Chris,
Your girls are beautiful... can't believe how much Emma has grown! Man, I just want to squeeeze Anna. What a cutie! :-)
And hey, don't be surprised (or disappointed) if next year you do forget.
On August 19th (Joseph's 4-year anniversary) we were up north fishing, having the time of our lives. There was one moment at the end of that day when I remembered-- and I didn't bring it up.
He just looked so dang happy. I guess I didn't want him to think about anything but the beautiful sunset in front of him-- and the "humongous" fish he was trying to catch...
